Cambridge Phenotyping Awarded for Innovative Solutions

December 1, 2023

A major new UK DRI Grand Challenge project, led by Prof Karen Duff, Centre Director of the UK DRI at UCL, seeks to understand the earliest stages of Alzheimer’s, by simultaneously examining molecular and cellular changes in mice and studying the very first behavioural changes in humans at risk of the disease. Through greater understanding of the underlying mechanisms of Alzheimer’s, the project could lead to the development of new biomarkers to aid in early disease detection, and therapeutics to treat the condition.

Cambridge Phenotyping was recently nominated and won the ‘Investment into Innovative Solutions’ award at the 15th annual European Sails 2023 event!

This event is sponsored by the Finance Ministry of Lithuania and celebrates the most successful investments of European research funds. Funds from Europeans have already changed our country, and today the strongest businesses in Lithuania would not imagine their growth without these investments. This year we again evaluate the ideas financed by EU funds that create the greatest value for each person, or for the whole country.
Cambridge Phenotyping was awarded the top spot for “investing in innovative solutions”.
This award draws attention to companies that are introducing new technologies in their activities, investing in processes and developing new products and services. This award is a testament to our hardworking team, innovative vision for behavioural research, and our growing Smart-Kage community.
